FAQs

How much does storage cost?

Prices for a small self-storage unit start at £100 per month, and for a large unit at £120 per month. We offer attractive discounts for longer-term rentals – please ask for details.

What are your payment terms?

We require an initial deposit of £100 which will be returned to you when you move out, provided you return the keys to us and leave the unit empty and clean. We will deduct any unpaid rent if you leave without notice.

For rental periods of one month or less, we require full payment in advance by cash or cheque. This is in addition to the deposit.

For rental periods of more than a month, we require payment of one month’s rent in advance, together with a valid standing order mandate authorising regular payments in advance for each month’s rent as it falls due.

What are your opening hours?

We are open as follows:

Monday to Sunday:  6:00 am to 9:00 pm

New Clients – Prior appointment is recommnended

Is your storage facility secure?

We take the security of your goods very seriously. Our site is fenced securely and access is via the main gate. We will provide you with a programmable key fob that will open the gate and allow you entry.

All our storage units are of steel construction and are fitted with secure 5-lever locks. You have individual access to your unit(s) which are entirely self-contained.

We have installed CCTV which gives 24-hour, monitored coverage of the site. In addition, our security staff patrol the site regularly outside opening hours.

How do I know which size unit I need?

Please see our Sizes & Prices page for details of our standard units together with some advice on the amount that each can accommodate. If you are unsure about which size you need, please call us for advice.

What about keys?

In addition to the key fob, we provide you with two keys to your storage unit and we can provide additional keys on request. Please note that additional keys and any replacement keys are chargeable items.

Who insures my belongings while they are in store?

Provided that the value of your belongings is £5,000 or less, we provide insurance at no extra cost and you are covered for loss or damage for as long as your goods are in storage. It’s your responsibility to confirm that our insurance is suitable for you, and to arrange alternative insurance if our policy doesn’t meet your needs. This is in accordance with the guidelines of the UK Self-Storage Association, and if you decide to self-insure, we may ask you to produce written evidence that cover is in place.

Can I move to a different size unit if I need more or less space?

If your storage requirements change during your rental period, you can downsize or upsize to keep your available space in line with your needs. Please ask us for further details.
